How to get that holiday glow!

How to get that holiday glow!

Get confident, get happy and get that glowing skin you’ve always wanted.

Here are 7 simple steps to transform your skin from challenging at best to glowing, healthy and radiant in no time at all.

1. Water

Without enough water, your skin can end up looking dull and lifeless. Drinking enough water flushes out toxins from your body and keeps your skin supple and glowing. So, take that water bottle with you wherever you go!

2. Vitamin C

Vitamin C is found at high levels in the epidermis (outer layer of skin) as well as the dermis (inner layer of skin). Its cancer-fighting (antioxidant) properties and its role in collagen production help keep your skin healthy. This is why vitamin C is one of the key ingredients found in many skincare products.

  • eat more citrus foods, such as oranges
  • eat other plant-based sources of vitamin C, such as strawberries, broccoli, and spinach
  • drink orange juice

3. Sleep

It’s called Beauty Sleep for a reason. Ensure that you get at least seven to eight hours of (peaceful) sleep every night so that your skin has enough time to repair everyday damage.

Also, remember to keep your sheets and pillowcase clean in order to avoid a build-up of grease and oil that can irritate your skin.

4. Exercise

Exercise is a must, too. When you exercise you increase the blood circulation throughout your body, this leads to oxygen and nutrients being carried to skin cells. Exercise allows you to improve the health of your heart, lungs, and skin all at the same time! It makes sure you are healthy and active, which eventually translates into healthy, glowing skin.

5. Diet

You can’t keep your skin healthy and glowing if you’re not eating right.  A diet full of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins will have your skin looking its best. Nuts and fish are especially good for cleaning out the bad oils from your body. Cutting down on soda and candy is highly recommended.

6. Skincare routine

The path towards glowing skin that is soft, as well as supple, inevitably involves moisturizing generously, every morning and night. While moisturizing won’t lighten skin directly, it will help to keep your skin healthy and lively. Make sure to choose a moisturizer according to your skin type!

We would recommend our newest range of body lotions that are infused with Aloe Vera, Vitamin E & Almond Oil. Exactly what your skin needs.

7. Exfoliate

Exfoliating your skin can improve the results of your skincare routine. You can use a face scrub with round beads to gently scrub off dead skin cells and expose healthier skin underneath it. This process can help prevent pores from becoming clogged. Exfoliation should only be done once or twice a week to prevent irritation.

Exfoliating manages to deeply clean one’s skin and pores and rejuvenate skin that has begun to age or appear dry. It can hydrate the skin and provide a relaxing and soothing overall experience.

Exfoliating can help you, whether you want to detoxify, oxygenate, hydrate, purify your skin or reduce puffiness.

Are there any tips you’d add to this list? What helps your skin glow?
