Travel to the Himalayas with our Fragrance of The Month!

Travel to the Himalayas with our Fragrance of The Month!

“We salute you O’ Great Saint - The Great Himalayas.” ― Ricky Saikia

Last month’s fragrances were just the remedy we needed to calm our souls and bodies. This month, we’re coming back feeling fresh and rejuvenated ready to do some exploring in our own country! It is September-the last chance in the year to make a memorable trip in not-freezing weather! And that is notwithstanding the rains that have been beating down on us. Anyways, so, yes, we’re taking a trip again with our fragrances this month. And it’s a combination of adventure and the tranquility we were treated to last month. Close your eyes, put on some heavy clothing, and get ready to trek to- the Himalayas!

Inspired by the great mountain herself, this month, we’re going to go on an adventure traversing the rocky trails, soaking in the natural beauty of the villages, and stopping by the cedars on the way to the summit.

Meet our September Fragrance of The Month 3 Wick and Shot Glass Scented Candles -

Valley of Flowers, Lost in Spiti, and Himalayan Cedar

  • Valley of Flowers is a fresh, floral fragrance that tries to do justice to the eponymous valley in the Himalayas which is a dear sight to behold. With the scent of fresh, pure flowers dancing against the sunlight and looking like a welcome painting after all the rocky trails. The flowers seem to stretch far wider than you can see. It amazes you how such pretty, frail things can grow in such harsh altitudes. Close your eyes and imagine tracing your hands over their heads. Yes, beauty and ruggedness somehow co-exist perfectly here. The fragrance contains notes of cotton, lilies, roses, etc.

Fragrance Notes

  • Top Notes: Fresh, Clean, Cotton
  • Middle Notes: Lily, Rose, Violet
  • Base Notes: Musk, Amber, Sandalwood

  • Lost in Spiti is an ode to the Spiti Village (also known as ‘The Middle Land’ as it lies in between India and Tibet). The scent is aromatic and woody, recalling the various aromas one is likely to experience in the region- that of holy incense from the Buddhist monasteries, temples, the local varieties of hot chai that warms you inside out, the cooking of the mainly non-vegetarian dishes, herbs used as medicine, etc. Life in the village is without rush and flamboyance; rather, made up of eager smiles and hearts, whispered prayers, an aura of spirituality all round, and pastoral duties. The fragrance is intended to recall the spirt of simplicity and beauty there with its notes of basil, clary sage, and sandalwood.

Fragrance Notes

  • Top Notes: Peppermint, Basil, Anise
  • Middle Notes: Clary sage, Cypress, Pine needles
  • Base Notes: Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Amber, Balsamic

  • Himalayan Cedar is a green, woody, musky scent with a blend of notes such as citrus, patchouli, cedar, etc. The scent is meant to impart coziness and warmth just like the cedar trees that line the Himalayan range would. Imagine trekking along the windy paths interspersed with these trees, the glorious peak beckoning you from afar. The cedars are tall and undisturbed, rooted firmly to the ground, and seem like giants-custodians of the mountain. Inhale the scent as you continue to make your way, slow, but, sure, to the top of the mountain.

Fragrance Notes

  • Top Notes: Citrus, Floral, Spicy
  • Middle Notes: Sandalwood, Balsamic, Patchouli
  • Base Notes: Musk, Amber, Cedar
